Catherine, the Princess of Wales, released a jubilant new photograph to mark World Cancer Day, taken by none other than Prince Louis

It was a stunning photo of Kate Middleton anyway. The Princess of Wales stood, arms outstretched in front of the forest-dappled sun. A warm winter coat, a beaming smile, and a message of hope on World Cancer Day. But, for once, part of the focus was not on Catherine in front of the camera, but on the person behind it: none other than Prince Louis.
In a poignant message shared alongside the photo on Prince William and Catherine’s official social media, the Princess wrote: ‘Don’t forget to nurture all that which lies beyond the disease,’ referring to her cancer diagnosis that threw the Windsor world into disarray last year. Signed with a C, indicating that Catherine herself penned the post, it was a deeply personal reflection on the Princess’s new focus on family, nature, and the importance of empathy.

Whether it’s the powerful composition, the frosty winter light, or the kind of pose you can only pull for family rather than professionals, the young royal has captured a side of his mother that few have ever seen.
Royal fans were quick to share the joy. ‘Prince Louis following in his mummy’s footsteps,’ wrote one underneath the official social media post. ‘It’s so special to see the world through Prince Louis’ eyes,’ agreed another. ‘I absolutely love that Prince Louis was behind the camera,’ commented one admirer, ‘he has a real talent for it like you.’
