Prince William will be attending Pope Francis’ funeral on behalf of his father, King Charles III.

    The 42-year-old royal will join world leaders like President Donald Trump at the funeral service on Saturday (April 26) in St. Peter’s Square in the Vatican, Us Weekly reports.

    Buckingham Palace has not yet explained why King Charles won’t be in attendance, although he is currently undergoing treatment for cancer.

    Before he took the throne, Charles attended Pope John Paul II’s funeral in 2005 on behalf of his mother, the late Queen Elizabeth II.
