Scottish getaways are a no brainer for people who reside in Scotland. Famed for their natural beauty, stunning, coastal landscapes, and crystal blue waters, Scots are spoiled for choice when it comes to island staycations.
But it turns out one Scottish island is fit for royalty after it was announced that the Prince and Princess of Wales will spend their 14th wedding anniversary in a self-catering cottage on the Isle of Mull, off Scotland’s west coast.
Mull is the second-largest island of the Inner Hebrides after Skye and will host Prince William and Kate as they likely enjoy a romantic meal for two during their night on the island next Tuesday after a day of official engagements.
But the name and exact location of the cottage remains undisclosed.
William and Kate were married at Westminster Abbey on April 29 2011, with the eyes of the world watching.

The future King and Queen will travel back to the country where they fell in love for a two-day visit meeting craftspeople, farmers and residents.
William and Kate met at the University of St Andrews in Fife and became friends first before embarking on a romance which has now endured two decades.
Sadly, there have been no giveaways as to the name and exact location of the cottage. Balmoral Castle in Aberdeenshire, boasting 52 bedrooms, is normally where the royals flock to every summer to fish, ride and walk.
William and Kate normally stay in their own cottage at Balmoral, gifted to the prince by his late great-grandmother, the Queen Mother, before she died in a 2002. Tam-Na-Ghair is nestled in a remote spot on the 5,000 acre estate.
A three-bedroom cottage built in the traditional style of Scottish lodges, it has gone largely unphotographed over the years. It is believed Kate spent a lot of time at Tam-Na-Ghar when she began dating William in 2001.

Again, not much is known or documented about Tam-Na-Ghar’s location on the estate, other than that it is close to Birkhall, the King’s large home on the bank of the River Muick.
The Isle of Mull is part of lands once ruled by the Lord of the Isles, which is one of a number of Scottish titles William inherited from his father when Charles became King and William the heir to the throne.
The pair will begin their visit on Tuesday in the town of Tobermory on the Isle of Mull, where the popular BBC children’s TV series Balamory was filmed.
The couple will visit a local hall that serves as a community hub and tour the Tobermory Producers Market, co-ordinated by the hall at Tobermory Harbour, sampling produce and meeting the makers and creators.
Later they will visit a croft and restaurant on the west coast, touring some of its 50 acres of land, seeing the Hebridean sheep farmed on site, and helping select garden produce for the menu.
On the final day William and Kate will meet countryside rangers from the Mull and Iona Ranger Service at Ardura Community Forest, join local school groups as they take part in outdoor learning, and visit Ardura Acorns, an early-years outdoor learning play group that takes children on nature trails, den building and animal tracking.
The two will then spend time privately on the island of Iona after taking the public ferry from Mull.
William and Kate are officially known by their Scottish titles, the Duke and Duchess of Rothesay, when in Scotland.
