As an actress, royal, and influencer, Meghan Markle is certainly comfortable in front of a camera. When it comes to the photographs for her lifestyle brand, As Ever, though, the Duchess of Sussex probably feels far more at home with the face behind the lens. Her close friend, Jake Rosenberg, shot both the website images for the business and Meghan’s recent cover shoot for PEOPLE magazine, and now the photographer has shared some behind-the-scenes information about the Duchess, her daughter Princess Lilibet, and the Netflix show that had everyone talking.

Rosenberg, who has known Meghan Markle for over a decade, shared a candid snap of the pair on his Instagram story on 20 April, revealing that they had been working together on some new images. In the shot, which shows a beaming Duchess of Sussex placing her hands on her friend’s shoulders, is captioned: ‘Always a beautiful day shooting with @meghan @aseverofficial.’

It was Rosenberg who captured the heartwarming picture of Meghan and her daughter, three-year-old Princess Lilibet, that served as the homepage for the As Ever website before its launch in April. The picture, taken at the family home in Montecito, is of the Duchess of Sussex and Lilibet running through their garden. Behind them, the palm trees that make up the As Ever logo stretch into the sky.

‘It was a beautiful sunny afternoon, and we were all hanging out,’ Rosenberg recounted to PEOPLE. ‘They were having a moment together. That was really authentic to who she is as a mother, and Lilibet is such a joy, so it was really about joy between the two of them,’ he continued.
