Meghan Markle took to Instagram with a heartfelt message to mark Earth Day 2025 just hours after Prince William and Kate Middleton posted their own.
On Tuesday evening, the Duchess of Sussex shared an intimate glimpse into her Montecito garden for her 2.8 million followers. Meghan uploaded a serene video featuring the morning chorus of birds, offering fans a peek at the lush greenery surrounding her home.
She captioned the story with, “About this morning… The best sound to wake up to. Happy Earth Day.” In addition, Meghan’s lifestyle brand, As Ever , joined in on the Earth Day celebrations by posting a new image of the Duchess of Sussex on its official Instagram account.

The photo showed Meghan tending to strawberry plants with the caption, “Cheers to the beauty of the garden! Happy Earth day, everyone.”
The Archewell Foundation, founded by Meghan and Prince Harry, also commemorated Earth Day, which is observed on April 22. A new statement on their website emphasized the significance of the day, “Today marks Earth Day, a global effort to raise awareness of the importance of environmentalism, and uplift efforts to combat the climate crisis.”
It continued, “Earth Day is a time to honour the planet and highlight the importance of sustainability and environmental conservation. The Archewell Foundation encourages everyone to take action in their communities to strive for a healthier planet and a greener Earth for future generations. By showing up in our local communities, we can have a global impact.”
The theme for Earth Day 2025 was “Our Power, Our Planet,” urging everyone to rally around the cause of renewable energy. The Prince and Princess of Wales commemorated the day by sharing Earthshot’s unique message for the annual event.
The Earthshot Prize, an initiative launched by William in 2020, emphasizes environmentalism and annually rewards five winners for their efforts to preserve the planet. William and Kate used their social media platforms to reiterate the message, which this year spotlighted some of its winners’ initiatives to advocate for clean energy.
The message stated, “Spend #EarthDay with @RobertIrwin and an #EarthshotPrize Winner who is bringing endangered animals back from the brink of extinction.”
In other news, the awards celebrated the day by stating, “With this year’s Earth Day theme ‘Our Power, Our Planet’, we’re reminded that clean energy is more than a resource: it’s a path to equity, opportunity, and resilience.”
