1 – No Bright Lipsticks

“Bold lipstick is a royal red flag,” Saffron explains. “It’s just too risky-smudges, stains, and the chance of it clashing with your outfit or looking too harsh on camera,” the expert continued.
Kate often is spotted in soft pinks or nudes, as they are flattering hues. She also opts for colours that enhance her natural lips and complement her overall makeup.
The look helps maintain a professional and dignified image. However, Queen Elizabeth and Princess Anne have been known to break the rule with their signature bright shades, but “Kate sticks to the protocol”.
2 – Keep Face Makeup Light and Natural
“Kate’s signature look is all about healthy, glowing skin and a natural flush. She keeps her base light, brows full, and cheeks rosy.
“For big events, she might add a smoky eye, but she never piles on the makeup. It’s all about enhancing, not hiding,” shared Saffron.
It has been reported that she prefers light coverage when it comes to choosing her base, as it allows the skin’s natural texture to show through.
Kate favours products known for their weightless feel and long-lasting, natural-looking finish.
3 – Makeup Must Stay Put
At times Princess Kate is out for hours due to her jam-packed schedule. And if there is one thing she has mastered, it is long-lasting makeup.
The expert said: “[Princess Kate] is at events for hours, often under hot lights or outdoors, so her look needs to last.
She always preps with a good primer and setting spray. And while she’ll have touch-up products handy, you’ll never catch her fixing her makeup in public; that’s a royal no-no.”
4 – Always Look Polished
The Princess of Wales has created a defining aesthetic over the years. Her beauty regime complements her overall minimalist and understated style.
Saffron claimed: “The royal rule is simple: never look unkempt. That means fresh hair, flawless makeup, and not a hair out of place. With cameras everywhere, there’s no room for a bad hair day.”
She achieves this through a simple beauty regime and is said to focus on hydration to keep her natural-looking glow. It has also been widely said that rosehip oil is one of her favourite skincare go-to’s.

n April, the Prince and Princess of Wales took a trip to Mull in Scotland, where Kate appeared to debut a new hairdo. She sported a more sun-kissed, lighter tone, instead of her usual long brunette looks.
However, one key element has remained the same, and that’s her trusted Chelsea blow-dry. She opted for a more relaxed approach, which suited her casual figure.
“Kate’s hair is always on point – regular blow-dries, subtle highlights, and any stray greys are handled quickly. Royals can’t experiment with wild colours, so Kate keeps her hair within two shades of her natural brown whilst maintaining a sleek, glossy look every time,” added Saffron.
6 – Go Easy on the Eye Makeup

“For day-to-day events, Kate keeps her eye makeup soft and bright – usually a touch of brown shadow, a flick of liner on the outer corners, and mascara to open up her eyes.
Heavy eye looks are reserved for glamorous evenings, but even then, she keeps it elegant and never overdone,” claimed Saffron.
This also allows the princesses bright eyes to take a captivating focus which is complemented by her defined lashes.
7 – Skip the Heavy Contour
Finally, contouring, one of the biggest trends that is loved by millennials around the globe. But you must nail it; otherwise, it can sometimes look very heavy and overdone.
The beauty expert said: “Forget sharp contouring – Kate prefers a dewy foundation and a bit of highlighter to bring out her cheekbones.
The goal is a youthful, radiant complexion, not dramatic definition. It’s all about looking fresh and approachable, not sculpted.”
