The Princess of Wales has released a new photograph which was taken by her son, Prince Louis, to mark World Cancer Day.

Kate was pictured outdoors on a wintry day standing on a tree trunk in a woods, with her arms out to her side.

She shared the photograph on X with the caption: “Don’t forget to nurture all that which lies beyond the disease.”

Kate has been making a phased return to royal duties after she completed a bout of chemotherapy last summer and made the recent admission she is in remission from cancer.

She carried out three royal engagements last week, but the events are not thought to indicate the princess is fully back to work.

King Charles, who was diagnosed with cancer last year, is still undergoing treatment.
