It’s clear that Prince George has inherited the family interest in the military, as was showcased when he joined his family on the balcony for a flypast, courtesy of the Red Arrows. Standing alongside his parents and siblings – as well as King Charles, Queen Camilla, Princess Anne, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, and the Duke of Kent – George appears to have enjoyed a hearty conversation with his father about the planes on show above London.
According to lip reader Nicola Hickling, Prince William looked up at the sky and asked George, Charlotte, and Louis whether they could identify the aircraft. George, she adds, then replied: ‘No, but I do know it’s got two-way four engines,’ to which the Prince of Wales replied with a proud ‘exactly’.

Hello’s Royal Editor, Emily Nash, went on to explain why Monday’s party was such a turning point for the future king. ‘It’s a big moment for him as second-in-line to the throne and one he will remember for many years to come,’ she explained. ‘Both William and Catherine have spoken about their desire to teach their children about major moments in history, such as the Holocaust, so this is another way for them to connect that wartime generation with their own next generation.’
