To contain the mystery of what happens inside the event, Met Gala attendees are given some pretty strict rules to abide by. While I understand wanting to preserve the privacy and exclusivity, today we’re highlighting all of the lovely celebrity delinquents who didn’t listen!

Outside of “no smoking,” which had been previously broken by countless celebs including Rita Ora, Dakota Johnson, and Rami Malek…

But let’s be real, expecting a person attending a major event with their friends, peers, and idols, to not document the moment isn’t realistic, in my opinion.

So, I’m celebrating the most recent rule-breakers who had an epic bathroom photoshoot. It’s become an unspoken annual tradition for celebs to sneak off into the restrooms at the Met Gala to take group photos. And at the risk of not being invited back, I’d say they’ve all been worth it — like Billie Eilish posting this “forbidden” selfie in 2023:

Or who could forget this mega-selfie Kylie Jenner took back in 2017:

Well, everyone, let me introduce you to this year’s restroom rebels…
Actor Laura Harrier posted this incredible photo to her Instagram story on Tuesday. The Spider-Man: Homecoming star was plastered in the middle next to Zac Posen, who designed her look for the night. Also spotted in the pic: Quinta Brunson, Ego Nwodim, Andrew Scott, LaKeith Stanfield, Sarah Snook, Keith Powers, Brian Tyree Henry, Monica Barbaro, Jeremy Pope, and Justice Smith.

Oh, but this wasn’t the only angle they blessed us with. We also got this fun one which included a few extra stars like Minnesota Vikings’ wide receiver Justin Jefferson and fashion designer Dao-Yi Chow, who styled Justin in his cofounded brand Public School.

But that’s not all! The celebs DID NOT skip out on amazing behind-the-scenes content! 2025 Met Gala co-chair and F1 champion, Lewis Hamilton, had his phone out for this wild video. The room was literally packed with celebs smiling and laughing, and it truly felt like such a feel-good moment.
Then, as they all dispersed, you can see Sarah Snook, James Corden, Sabrina Carpenter, Central Cee, Andra Day, Andrew Scott, Jeremy Pope, Kelvin Harrison Jr., and more standing in the hallway, while Cynthia Erivo belts out the run from the hit Wicked single “Defying Gravity.”

I love seeing celebs let loose, so I truly hope this tradition never dies!
