Prince William and Princess Kate might be famously hands-on with their three kids, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, but they’re still facing the same parenting hurdles as families across the world.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, known for their love of sports, have passed on their passion to the youngsters with activities like tennis, rugby, and footie. But it’s a particular hobby of their eldest, young Prince George, thats proved a tough test in parenting – one many parents will know well.

Will and Kate have made sure to set rules around their son’s pastime, to keep a close eye on how he’s spending his time.

Prince William revealed George’s gaming obsession during an appearance at BAFTA HQ in 2022. Chatting during the Royal visit, William shared that keeping tabs on the young prince’s screen time while gaming is quite the challenge.

“At the moment it’s trying to regulate the gaming… monitoring screen time. Got to be careful of that,” he said. “They’re fascinated by it. George particularly. He’s more interested in it. The other two are a bit too small at the moment but they love the films. I adore film and gaming as well,” reports the Mirror.

Kate and William are said to have enforced a no-iPad rule for their children when they were very young, instead promoting imaginative play and outdoor activities. As reported in Us Weekly back in 2018, an anonymous source close to the couple revealed, “They’re very much seen as Mummy and Daddy’s toys, not for children.

“Having grown up without gadgets themselves, William and Kate are strong advocates of toys, outdoor play, and fostering an active imagination,” the source added. Prince William recently disclosed a rather adventurous new hobby of Prince George’s during a visit to Birley Community Pool.

The Prince of Wales confessed that they took ten-year-old George scuba diving and the Royal youngster thoroughly enjoyed it. “He was ten years old, we took him under, thinking he’d freak out, but he absolutely loved it. It’s just introduced him to the world of water,” the Prince of Wales elaborated.
