Meghan Markle’s fans will be devastated as their dreams of seeing her reprise her Suits role have been crushed.

The Duchess of Sussex shot to fame after playing Rachel Zane in the hit legal drama, which she left in 2017 after getting engaged to Prince Harry. With the creation of Suits LA, however, fans had been hoping Meghan would reprise the role.

Speculation mounted when Meghan’s Suits co-star Gabriel Macht teased “never say never” when asked about her potential return. However, it looks like that won’t be happening now as Suits LA has been canceled by NBC after just one season.

Fans have been left devastated by Suits LA’s cancellation. One person fumed on X, “What a f—— joke. Let shows develop I mean holy s—. You gave them one season…Imagine if you gave one season to the original Suits… This s— has to stop a waste of time for these actors, us consumers and everyone else who worked on this.”

Another person questioned, “Is the show that bad or this a case of a network not allowing a show to grow and just canceling for no reason?” Someone else suggested, “It was a perfectly fine show. People comparing it to the original did it a disservice.”

A fourth fan pleaded, “@nbc maybe give the show a chance to grow? Not every show hits a homerun on a first season. Plus it was actually enjoyable. Not SUITS level but still good atleast for me.”

Others questioned what had happened, while another viewer said, “Give it a shot damn!” Suits LA was canceled by NBC following low viewership figures.

It became the second Suits spinoff to run for just one season, following the cancellation of USA’s Pearson. Some fans have been speculating show bosses will give it one more shot and approve a Suits Seattle spinoff.

Suits LA followed Ted Black, a former federal prosecutor from New York who reinvented himself by representing the most powerful clients in Los Angeles. His firm hit crisis point, however, and he was forced to take on a new role to survive.

The series also starred Lex Scott Davis, Josh McDermitt, Bryan Greenberg, Troy Winbush and Rachelle Goulding, Azita Ghanizada, Maggie Grace, Alice Lee. Matt Letscher and Sofia Pernas were also cast in the show.

Guest stars included John Amos, in his final role, Victoria Justice, Patton Oswalt, Yvette Nicole Brown, Brian Baumgartner and Enrico Colantoni.
