Since marrying into the Royal Family in 2011, the Princess of Wales has been introduced to a number of famous people both through social circles and her royal role. The Princess, 43, has also formed a number of new friendships since marrying Prince William, with one example of this being David and Victoria Beckham.
Since attending the royal couple’s 2011 wedding, David and Victoria seem to have grown ever close to the future King and Queen, with this relationship continuing to strengthen as time goes on. As well as William, 42, and David, 50, being good friends, having carried out a royal engagement together just last year, Kate has also spent time with David over the years.
This included at The Earthshot Prize 2022 ceremony in Boston, USA.
They also saw each other at the 2020 Championship Round of 16 match between England and Germany at Wembley Stadium on June 29, 2021. It is not known whether the two couples spend much time together away from the cameras, however they have met several times over the years.
While Kate has not been pictured with Victoria Beckham, she did pay a sweet tribute to her by wearing one of her brand’s suits earlier this week, suggesting they share a sweet friendship.
This was taken by many to be a show of support from Kate to Victoria after the designer has been put in the limelight following a rumoured rift with her eldest son Brooklyn Beckham, 26.
A source close to the Beckhams said that while it is not the first time Princess Kate has worn one of Victoria’s designs, with the princess having worn a Victoria Beckham dress, tote bag and sunglasses before, it was great to see the royal out in the olive-coloured suit, believed to cost £1,340.
The source said: “The Princess of Wales has worn Victoria’s designs before and it’s really great to see that she’s wearing one again, especially as the outfit was not gifted and was very much her own call to wear it. Both couples support each other’s charities and David and William are friends too, so there is a great deal of mutual respect there.”
It is believed Victoria once shared a closer friendship with Kate’s now estranged sister-in-law Meghan Markle, 43, however this changed when Meghan reportedly accused Victoria of leaking stories to the press – which the designer denied.
Now, Meghan – who is not believed to be on talking terms with Kate or Victoria – has reportedly bonded with Victoria’s daughter-in-law Nicola Peltz after inviting her and her husband Brooklyn Beckham to a dinner in Montecito. This comes amid rumours that Nicola and her husband Brooklyn are not currently on good terms with the rest of the Beckham family, including his parents David and Victoria.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle – who are also still in a rift with many of Harry’s royal relatives, including William and Kate – are reportedly supporting Brooklyn and Nicola and being “very kind to them both”, as reported by The Sun.
