Prince Harry has opened up about his longing for “a reconciliation” with the Royal Family, including indirectly referencing his brother Prince William.
He shared his hopes of getting on better terms with his family, despite feeling that they “may never forgive him”.
During an emotional BBC interview, he expressed his longing to be close to his brother again and revealed he is “devastated” by his recent legal defeat concerning UK security. The Duke of Sussex revealed that his father, King Charles, “won’t speak to me because of this security stuff”, emphasizing his desire to put an end to the conflict and his uncertainty about how much time his father has left.
He admitted, “I can’t see a world in which I would bring my wife and children back to the UK at this point,”. Harry spoke candidly about the numerous disagreements with his family but mentioned he has “forgiven” them. “I would love reconciliation with my family. There’s no point continuing to fight anymore, life is precious,” Prince Harry shared.

He had challenged the changes made to his security detail after stepping back as a working Royal and moving to the United States in 2020, reports the Express US. Feeling “let down,” Harry labeled his legal setback as a “good old fashioned establishment stitch up” and suggested that the royal household played a role in the decision to diminish his security.

Regarding whether he sought the King’s help in the security matter.
Prince Harry clarified: “I never asked him to intervene-I asked him to step out of the way and let the experts do their jobs.”
He revealed that the process of determining his security measures had “uncovered my worst fears.”
He expressed: “I’m devastated-not so much as devastated with the loss that I am about the people behind the decision, feeling as though this is okay. Is it a win for them?”.
He went on to say: “I’m sure there are some people out there, probably most likely the people that wish me harm, who consider this a huge win.”
Prince Harry explained that the stripping of his automatic right to security impacts him “every single day.”
He shared this restricts his ability to safely visit the UK unless he is invited by the Royal Family, which would guarantee adequate protection.
He lamented: “I love my country, I always have done, despite what some people in that country have done.
“I think that it’s really quite sad that I won’t be able to show my children my homeland.”
His appeal was dismissed by the Court of Appeal, which centered on the decision made by an official committee to revoke his entitlement to automatic, full-scale protection afforded to other senior members of the Royal Family.
