The King has enjoyed an unexpected encounter with David Beckham at the Chelsea Flower Show, where they hinted at a collaborative venture on the horizon, just days after son Brooklyn dined with Harry and Meghan.
Charles, who appeared at the event clutching a traditional gardener’s crook, and Queen Camilla, were welcomed by the ex-Manchester United icon and TV horticulture expert Alan Titchmarsh during their visit to the exhibition.
The ex-England skipper was visibly thrilled to see Charles and Queen Camilla at the Highgrove Shop display, where all proceeds support The King’s Foundation. Beckham has championed the foundation as an ambassador for the past year.
Donning a freshly christened pale pink rose in tribute to the sovereign in his lapel, Beckham agreed with the Queen that the flower was “so beautiful” as they exchanged pleasantries.
The Queen seemed to chat happily with Becks and admired his lapel, to which he commented: “It’s so beautiful, so beautiful. Congratulations.”

Camilla asked after his wife, Victoria, who she met in March while commemorating the 15th anniversary of Women of the World (WOW), a body dedicated to fostering global gender parity, reports the Mirror.
Referencing his recent 50th birthday revelries, Beckham responded: “She’s doing very well. I had a busy weekend this weekend, so it was a lot of fun, a lot of fun.”
Making a light-hearted nod to turning 50, he quipped: “I know, finally!”
The King and Queen Consort are said to have sent David Beckham a birthday present, with His Majesty enquiring, “You got it, didn’t you?” To which Beckham responded: “It was incredible, thank you, it was very kind.”
Later, Camilla remarked: “Nice to see you again, glad you got the roses.”

This year marks the 35th anniversary of The King’s Foundation, celebrating over three decades dedicated to creating sustainable communities and transforming lives, particularly by fostering green spaces and promoting nature-inspired education for the youth.
During their encounter, the pair hinted at an upcoming initiative designed to inspire young people to pursue careers in horticulture.
Their meeting occurred shortly after news broke that the King’s estranged son, Prince Harry, and David Beckham’s eldest son, Brooklyn, attended a dinner party amidst a reported brewing feud within the Beckham family.

Reports suggest that Harry and his wife Meghan welcomed Brooklyn and his wife Nicola to their Montecito home, just days after Brooklyn missed his father David’s 50th birthday.
With Prince Harry also experiencing tension with his own father, King Charles, and brother Prince William, he reportedly extended support to Brooklyn, who appears to be growing apart from his parents.

Back in England, Charles and Camila took to the stage alongside Beckham and Titchmarsh – both King’s Foundation ambassadors – for the grand unveiling of the stand’s façade, complete with theatrically-opening Sanderson-designed curtains that symbolise the collaboration between the interior design firm and the King’s Foundation.
His Majesty also enjoyed the company of Prince Edward, the Duke of Edinburgh, as well as the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester at the Chelsea Flower Show. The show, an initiative of the RHS, an organisation under the King’s patronage, began in 1913 and is hosted at the Royal Hospital Chelsea, renowned for its resident Chelsea Pensioners.
