Prince William has sparked frenzy this week after fans have spotted a hidden detail in his garden party outfit on Tuesday. The Prince of Wales, 42, looked very smart at the event, accessorising his formal attire with a small dark-yellow flower.

Fans think this sweet accessory was done in an attempt to match his wife Princess Kate’s sunflower yellow dress. The royal couple were among a number of royals at the party on behalf of the King yesterday, with the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh also among those present.

Since spotting William’s sweet outfit gesture, fans have been sent into a frenzy, with some saying how the couple – who celebrated their 14th wedding anniversary last month – are “in sync”.

One fan wrote on X: “They’re absolutely gorgeous, so in sync, so in love!” A second said: “They compliment each other always.”

A third wrote: “Love them.” Someone else commented: “The future King and Queen, how lucky we are!”

Other royals at the garden party yesterday included the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, Princess Eugenie and Zara Tindall.

The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester also attended the event.

Among those the Prince and Princess met were the family of Liz Hatton, the late 17-year-old photographer who died from Desmoplastic Small Round Cell Tumour, a rare sarcoma. Liz was previously praised by the couple as a “brave and humble young woman”.

William and Kate spent time chatting with her mother, Vicky Robayna, her stepfather, Aaron Robayna Thompson and her younger brother, Mateo, aged nine.

Liz, who lost her 10-month cancer fight in November 2024, was pictured hugging Kate at Windsor Castle last October after being invited to fulfil her dream of photographing the Prince of Wales at an investiture as part of her “bucket list.”
