We already chatted about one of one of your interviews here on Page Six Radio. Your chat with Andy Cohen about The Real Housewives of Rhode Island. Yes. Rory. It was We’re trying to figure out what the acronym for that would be. Rory. Rory. It was so great to hear from him about this this new series. I didn’t realize that it was already cast. They already they already have a a full uh I guess uh collection selection curation of Italian-American women, which is so So yeah, tell us about that. Actually, I think we have a clip. Do we have a clip of Andy talking about it? Yeah. Let’s Let’s take a listen. What’s What’s What’s the What’s the newest for you? Um, we just announced the new housewives today. Housewives of Rhode Island. Why Why Rhode Island? Well, you know what? There’s uh the casting is incredible. They are very Italian. They are Rhode Island is such a small state and they all kind of know each other and overlap and it’s an incredible group of of women who have really interesting connections and I think it’s going to really surprise me. Well, I’m excited to hear this because when I first like Rhode Island, it doesn’t hit me as a housewife place, but you know what? Salt Lake City really didn’t at first and now I’m obsessed with it. So, I have hope for it. Yeah. Right. I it did make me laugh though cuz he said it’s like very Italian. I’m like isn’t that Jersey? And he said, “No, no, it’s it’s I don’t know what he I think he said it’s like even more Italian.” I’m like, “Okay.” And then he said, “It’s I said, “How is it different?” Oh, that was it. I said, “How is it different from Jersey?” He goes, “Well, it’s coastal.” And I’m like, “Isn’t Jersey coast now Andy’s throwing a lot of jobs at Jersey?” But I didn’t say that to him. It did make me laugh. And then I asked him um if they’ve done a more thorough background check on these ladies. And we have a clip of that, right? Okay. Yes. Did you do like a deep dive making sure that none of them have uh anything illegal going on? As the show has evolved, the diligence has evolved. Right. Exactly. That’s a fair enough question. Right. Just like you know. Yes. So there I imagine now it’s like a V pick. It’s like really intense. That was a good question. That is a great Nikki. You are fearless on the red carpet. I love it. And also I’m like cuz you were saying it’s just like Jersey. How much like Jersey is it? Well, he hates that quest. I always ask him that question cuz it makes me laugh. Like I’ve said this to him before. The catch 22 of Housewives is you want to cast interesting characters. A lot of times interesting characters have shady backgrounds. So or they do something shady. [Music]
