Carole and Michael Middleton are said to have a major reason to celebrate after a turbulent two years. The couple, who reside at Bucklebury Manor in the idyllic setting of Bucklebury, were left devastated after Carole’s party business went into administration, with further distressing news coming in 2024 when the Princess of Wales was diagnosed with cancer.
However, they could have a reason to celebrate as, according to Rightmove, house prices in their area have risen a whopping 53 per cent compared to the previous year. It is not known whether the couple are looking to sell their property, but they would be in a good position if they were to do so.
Although detached houses in Bucklebury typically sold for an average price of £1,551,347 in 2024, Carole and Michael’s property was already £4.7 million when they purchased it in 2012.
The couple previously lived at five-bedroom Oak Acre prior to 2012 – with them having to move following security fears after the Prince and Princess of Wales’s wedding.
Previously speaking about their home, Carole once shared which room was her favourite. In an interview with Good Housekeeping, she said: “My kitchen. It’s a kitchen/dining/sitting room and it’s the heart of the house.”
She then revealed that she likes to host, saying: I love a kitchen supper. Where I have a small number of guests. I’ll cook something delicious and make it look lovely, then we’ll finish with a kitchen disco.”
While the home has rarely been seen, it is known to be a grade II-listed Georgian property with five reception rooms.
The home also boasts a drawing room, a library, a swimming pool, a tennis court.
Featured on 18 acres of land, the family are known to have their own honeybees on the property.
