Despite initially seeming like an odd couple, Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet appear to be going strong. They’ve made several public appearances together, including at the Oscars and, more recently, courtside at a New York Knicks game. But on May 7, they finally made their red carpet debut—and Jenner has spilled some behind-the-scenes scoop.

In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar, the reality TV mega-star dished about how she landed on wearing the chic black dress with a classic silhouette. As it turns out, there wasn’t really much to it. “I think it just like happened that way,” the Kardashians star told the magazine. “Even, recently I was like, I can’t wear another black dress. And then of course the most perfect, gorgeous Schiaparelli black dress shows up.”
Jenner’s patterned black dress complemented Chalamet’s outfit as well. The Dune star wore a black button-down shirt under a black velvet suit, giving the two of them a cohesive look for the cameras.
A little black dress is a timeless classic, appropriate for a red carpet, a funeral, or an Addams Family party. Jenner agrees, telling Harper’s Bazaar, “I think a black dress is also kind of like, not too attention grabbing in the best way.” She added, “You can never go wrong with a black dress.”
After posing for pictures on the red carpet, the power couple went back to their grand $22,000 per night hotel suite, as Parade exclusively reported. The 3,000 square-foot suite came equipped with a grand piano, a walk-in closet, and a dining room table large enough to host the Last Supper. The bathroom even had a separate shower and tub—one for quick bathing, and one for long soaking.
Despite only recently taking their relationship public, it appears Jenner and Chalamet are in it for the long haul. An insider told Life & Style, “Kylie is completely hypnotized by Timmy. If she could, they’d spend every day in bed.”
No wonder they splurged on their hotel room!
