Meghan Markle has once again bared her soul on the airways -this time around as a guest – and had plenty to say, including some sizzling insinuations about her former life.
After her podcast, Confessions of a Female Founder, wrapped after one season and with no immediate plans for a second season while she focuses on her As Ever range, Meghan appeared on Aspire with Emma Grede.
Here are some key moments from the interview:

She wants people to tell the truth about her
When asked about what she would change about her public narrative if she were starting all over again, the Duchess’ defiant reply was to ‘ask people to tell the truth.’
She doubled down on her words when Grede asked her if she ever gets angry, prompting Meghan to quote pal Serena Williams, telling her, ‘A life can’t live forever and adding: ‘Eight years is a long time! But not forever.’
She doesn’t specify what she is referencing, but she was first linked to Harry eight years ago.

Clothes became her voice as a working royal
The interview delved into the ‘Meghan Effect’ and how items she wore instantly became a sell-out hit with the public during her royal life, something she has mixed views about, on the one hand finding it flattering, but on the other, she is concerned about the brands and designers not getting appropriate credit.
Tellingly, she also touched on using clothes to express herself, continuing: ‘At the same time, do you want people to mislabel it?
‘Because when I didn’t feel as though I had as much of an opportunity to speak, what can you say with what you’re wearing? You can say quite a lot.
Meghan goes on to say: ‘I still wanted to be able to be heard in other ways. I still wanted women to know I was supporting them. I still wanted people to feel that even though I didn’t get an uplift from that, they did.’
She’s upset that her children were monitored
While she has mixed feelings about her outfit choices being commercialised, she is somewhat understandably frustrated at the same thing happening to her children.
‘What was so wild, maybe, the surprise came in, when anything that my children were wearing started to get monetised and affiliate sales and part of headlines and things. That’s where it became a little uncomfortable.
‘But at the same time, you know, when it comes from a place of love and excitement, very, very different. Then you can be happy about it- of course, have the same dress Lili has.’

We might see her launch a fashion and beauty range
Meghan hasn’t ruled out launching her own fashion and beauty line, telling the host ‘I think there will be a time for that.’
[Beauty]… was definitely something that people were asking me to get involved in… I think it could be fun. I think there will be time for that. I think there will certainly be a time for fashion.
But, I think ultimately, I wanted to do what felt authentic, but I also recognised there are variables you don’t have to think about when you’re doing a composition of makeup. ‘

She loves a bargain
Despite raking in the cash from her various media and brand deals, Meghan insists that she has always been thrifty and loves spotting a bargain.
‘ I grew up clipping coupons, I was always money conscious, always looking for a sale. In high school, college, I always find a promo code – I still go on RetailMeNot before I buy something online to see if there’s a promo code, even if it’s free shipping! I’m just ingrained and wired that way.’
She’s excited to be back on social media
‘I’m just grateful that now, being back on social as well, I have a place where I can share it – on my own terms.
‘It feels liberating. It was a great way for me to get my voice back.
‘… It’s my space and my channel for joy. That is the intention of my channel.’

What she has to say about that dancing video
‘By the way, that wasn’t yesterday. That was four years ago.
‘So it’s also a really great reminder that with all the noise or whatever people do, there’s still a whole life – a real, authentic, fun life – that’s happening behind the scenes. ‘
