Meghan Markle was urged to start “looking in the mirror” after her latest claims on various “lies” about her, as a royal commentator said she should never be welcomed back into the royal fold after her “unforgivable poison”. The Duchess of Sussex has been in a bitter feud with the Royal Family since she and Prince Harry stepped down as senior working royals in early 2020.
Meghan has made various claims against the Firm since then, including that the Firm did not support her or defend her against the press, that the Princess of Wales made her cry just before her wedding to Prince Harry and that they didn’t “train” her before her marriage to the Duke. But her latest apparent attack took place during a new podcast interview this week, where Meghan said she would “ask people to tell the truth” if she could rewrite her own public narrative. She also spoke on the Aspire with Emma Grede podcast about a “lie” told eight years ago, saying “a lie can’t live forever. Eight years is a long time, but not forever”.
The Duchess gave no specifics about whom she was referring; however, several royal watchers took it as a swipe at the royals, as eight years ago, she became engaged to Prince Harry.
Now, a royal commentator has blasted the Duchess and said that if she really wants “lies to die”, she should start “looking in the mirror”.
US-based journalist Lee Cohen added that Meghan will unlikely ever reconcile with the royals as that would mean she would have to “admit she is wrong”, which would go against her “persona of being the wronged victim”.
He told the Express: “She [Meghan Markle] will, and should, never be given the chance by Harry’s family for spreading her unforgivable poison.
“Would she entertain the possibility herself? The prospect seems as likely as Meghan admitting she’s wrong.
“Her entire persona is built on being the wronged victim, the outsider who dared challenge the monarchy’s supposed sins.
“Reconciling on her part would require humility and accountability—qualities she’s never exhibited.”
Mr Cohen added: “Instead, she doubles down, preaching about truth while curating a narrative that’s as selective as it is self-serving.
“If she truly wants lies to die, she might start by looking in the mirror.”
