Princess Kate is well-known for having a deep love of sports, which she appears to have passed on to her children Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, seven. As well as being a fan of running, The Princess of Wales, 43, is also reportedly a big fan of tennis.
While she may not play as much as she used to, Kate is believed to enjoy practising the sport at home, with her children also believed to be keen players. However, although Louis is believed to like taking part, it was once reported that he also has a special role to play when his mum practices.
During one of her Wimbledon appearances in 2023, Kate revealed that her youngest son had been practicing being a ballboy.
As reported by The Daily Mail, the Princess of Wales reportedly told Ella Ottoway from the All England Club’s young person programme that Louis, who was five at the time, was “very upset” he wasn’t able to watch the match in person with his parents and siblings.
She then reportedly told one ball boy, 16-year-old Joel, that Louis had been copying what ball boys and girls do on the court.
Joel told PA news agency at the time: “He (Louis) tries to practise the standing and staying serious, like us.
“He tries to practise the stands and how we stand at the back of the court and next to the players.”
While Prince William and Princess Kate often take their oldest children George and Charlotte to Wimbledon, they are yet to take Prince Louis.
This decision is believed to be due to the fact he is a few years younger than his siblings.
Despite this, Louis is still believed to love the sport, having practised it from a young age and followed in his mother’s footsteps.
It is believed the young prince may make his first Wimbledon debut within the next few years.
