Meghan has opened up about family life and her daughter Lilibet
Meghan Markle has opened up about all things motherhood in her new podcast, Confessions of a Female Founder, including daughter Princess Lilibet’s adorable habit.
For her very first episode, which dropped this week, the Duchess of Sussex sat down for a conversation with Whitney Wolfe Herd, founder of the dating app Bumble, and the two women bonded over the difficulties of balancing a career with parenting duties.
Meghan and her husband Prince Harry share two children: Prince Archie, five, and Princess Lilibet, three. The couple make sure to protect their children’s privacy, opting not to show their faces in photographs. However, brief glimpses show the pair have inherited their father’s famous red hair, a characteristic of the Spencer side of the family. Now Meghan, 43, has offered a sweet update on family life behind the door of their Montecito mansion.

In her candid chat with Whitney, Meghan discussed balancing her business with parenting Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, sharing how Lili still takes naps and only attends preschool for half days.
Meghan revealed: “If she wakes up and wants to find me, she knows where to find me, even if my door is closed to the office. She’ll be sitting there on my lap during one of these meetings with a grid of all the executives… I wouldn’t have it any other way. I don’t want to miss those moments. I don’t want to miss pickup if I don’t have to. I don’t want to miss drop-off.”
The Duchess went on to remark how she loved balancing motherhood and growing businesses, arguing that “both are just as important” and “really high value for the world.”

Whitney replied: “Technology is a beautiful tool for parents because you can dial in and be present and do a great job on the call while you sit in the carpool line outside school. Like, why do I need to be at a desk? I have the same mental opinion in a carpool line.”
This comes as Meghan’s newly launched As Ever products sold out in a matter of minutes, with eager fans snapping up her luxury raspberry spread, which sells for around £10, £15 flower sprinkles, which are £15, and £10 herbal teas.

Unlike her elder brother, little Lilibet – or Lilli as she is affectionately referred to – was born in Santa Barbara, California, far away from the palaces a royal circles where Meghan and Harry, 40, spent the early years of their marriage.
However, the couple made sure to pay tribute to Harry’s heritage with their naming choices, with Lilibet having been the childhood pet name of his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II. Her middle name, Diana, is of course, a nod to the prince’s iconic late mother, Princess Diana, who died in 1997 at the age of just 36.
