While the Royal Family live lives that most of us cannot relate to, there are many things they do and enjoy that make them very relatable. One example of this is food, with relatives of the Royal Family often hinting that like many of us, a sweet dessert always goes down well.

Although not every royal has disclosed what their favourite sweet treat is, it is believed that Princess Kate loves a sticky toffee pudding. This was confirmed by her husband Prince William last year, when he visited Duchy College Stoke Climsland in Cornwall.

At the student-run café, the Prince of Wales confirmed to chef Darren Watson that Kate’s favourite sweet treat was sticky toffee pudding.

According to Hello!, Watson said he learned this from his research, to which Prince William replied “very good.”

Meanwhile, Prince William didn’t name his favourite dessert and instead said he is a “sucker for anything chocolate and anything sweet”.

As reported by People, after being given a cake, the future King said: “Thank you very much, that’s very sweet of you, any kind of sweet thing I will take.”

This is not the only time it has come to light that Kate loves a sticky toffee pudding dessert, with a chef at a pub she used to visit also revealing that this would often be her top choice.

It is believed the princess, 43, would order the pudding for dessert when visiting The Old Boot Inn in Stanford Dingley, Berkshire – not far from her parents home.

Chef Rody Warot once told People: “Kate is always discreet and has always complimented the dishes with great kindness.

“For dessert, her favourite is sticky toffee pudding. It’s moist and spongy.”
