While the triumphant moment on Wimbledon’s Centre Court proved thrilling for all present, Prince George and Princess Charlotte enjoyed additional time with the victor following Italy’s Jannik Sinner’s landmark victory at the esteemed tennis championship. The Wales family’s outing proved memorable as they occupied seats in the Royal Box to witness Sinner overcome Spain’s Carlos Alcaraz.
The 22 year old claimed his maiden Wimbledon title, beating Alcaraz 4-6, 6-4, 6-4, 6-4. Captivating footage following the match revealed Princess Charlotte and Prince George meeting the Wimbledon victor, each being presented with a delightful memento from the tennis ace.

Charlotte then passed a third tennis ball to the champion, with Princess Kate remarking: “They’ve got one for their brother as well!” The young royals courteously expressed their gratitude as the Italian returned the signed balls – including one for Prince Louis.
Princess Kate went on to comment on how “amazing” it was to witness names being swiftly added to the winners’ board following a Wimbledon triumph. Kate, serving as patron of the All England Lawn Tennis Club, had previously presented the championship trophy to Sinner on court, reports the Express.
Emulating their parents’ example, Princess Charlotte and Prince George then shook hands with the champion, with George offering his congratulations by saying “well done” to the victor. Royal enthusiasts were thrilled with the footage shared on the official Wimbledon X page, showing a warm exchange among the attendees.
One Royal fan commented: “He signed a tennis ball for the future king of England. This has got to be the best day of this guy’s life.”
Another remarked: “A delightful tradition at Wimbledon, where champions like Jannik Sinner gift signed tennis balls to young royals, capturing a moment of sportsmanship and cultural significance.”
A third chimed in: “The little princess gave him two balls to sign – one for her and the other for her little brother Louis.”
Yet another added: “I love how Prince William stands back, respecting his wife’s position as Patron of the LTA.”
The Princess of Wales is no stranger to the Wimbledon finals, having presented the winner’s trophy to Carlos Alcaraz last year after his victory over Novak Djokovic.
Jannik now boasts three Grand Slam singles titles, including two Australian Open triumphs and one US Open win.
