Royal commentator Rupert Bell and Talk TV’s Julia Hartley-Brewer hash out the reasoning behind Prince Harry’s reps sitting down with King Charles’ rep and what’s to come.

Prince Harry’s reps had a sit-down with King Charles’ rep at a very well-known spot in London, with one royal expert saying this was done intentionally, to make sure it was known that it was happening, but the real question is, what was the purpose behind this meeting?
According to Rupert Bell, Harry has another Invictus Game coming up, which will be held in Birmingham, England in 2027, and it would be “very odd” for his father not to attend as it honors serviceman and women, and while that is a good point, Julia Hartley-Brewer feels like there’s more to the story.
Bell and Hartley-Brewer went over the ins and outs of the recent get together to try and figure out what’s to come in a recent segment of Talk TV.

Hartley-Brewer kicked off the chat, saying: “They decided to do it somewhere very quiet, in the back room, where no one could possibly see them — no, no, no… no they didn’t, they did it in a well-known private members club, sitting outside where they could be photographed, and apparently, Harry and Meghan are horrified anyone has found out about it.”

While Hartley-Brewer was being sarcastic, possibly a little sassy, Bell responded quite literally that he does not see the get together as a summit, explaining: “A summit? I wouldn’t go as far as all that. Getting together over a glass of something, just to see where the ground is between the various parties, because I do think Harry is a rudderless ship, he doesn’t know what he’s going to do.”

Harry’s reps, Meredith Maines and Liam Maguire, met with Charles’ rep, Tobyn Andreae, which according to Bell, the folks at the members club are going to recognize them, so it clearly was not meant to be a secret.
There are a number of reasons as to why they met, and no one will know, unless they were sitting at the table, but according to Hartley-Brewer, that’s exactly what it was, a chance to sit down together and “see where the ground is” between them.
Of course, people can guess, and according to Bell, Harry is trying to pull a fast one on his father, and this is all about gaining support in the name of Invictus.
Harry is reportedly lonely
But Hartley-Brewer believes there are two major reasons Harry and Charles would like to call a truce, and possibly meet halfway, and those reasons are: Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
The presenter said: “That’s two years away, for me, I would say, Harry’s children haven’t seen their grandparents, or uncles and aunts, or their cousins, in years, has Lilibet even met her grandfather yet?”
Bell agreed about the family element and helped fill in the blanks: “What you’re seeing at the moment, Meghan is saying, ‘It’s not happening.’ And Harry, he’s feeling, bereft, because he has no friends in California, he’s feeling castoff from his family.”
“So, he’s lonely, and I think that is part of the reason, he wants to reconnect with his family, which he was a close member of and a popular member of.”
