Meghan Markle has been ‘supportive’ of Prince Harry’s effort to repair his tense relationship with his father, King Charles, according to royal expert Jennie Bond
Meghan Markle wouldn’t stop a royal reunion
Following months of complete silence, there appears to be a glimmer of hope that the relationship between Prince Harry and his father, King Charles, might be repaired.
A meeting of senior advisors for both Harry and Charles has sparked speculation this is the first move toward reconciliation, especially after Harry disclosed earlier this year that communication between them had completely ceased. The Duke of Sussex has made numerous allegations against his relatives and in his explosive tell-all book Spare, he claimed his brother Prince William had physically assaulted him and alleged the King prioritized his own agenda over Harry’s while harboring resentment toward Meghan.
A reconciliation between Harry and Charles would be huge for the royal family and would also have a big impact on Meghan, who has been expanding her commercial ventures recently following the debut of her As Ever lifestyle brand.

There are questions about whether Meghan would approve of a reunion, but royal expert Jennie Bond is convinced the Duchess of Sussex would absolutely offer her support.

She told The Mirror, “It’s important to remember that the King and Meghan had a warm and affectionate relationship at the start. Harry wrote about how jovial and animated his father was when they used to visit him, for example, talking to Meghan about music.
“And they were both touched by his fatherly gesture of walking her down part of the aisle at their wedding. Of course, a lot of water has flowed under the bridge since then, and emotions are still running high. But my belief is that Meghan loves Harry and wants him to be happy.”
Bond suggested Meghan would also be open to the idea of her two children getting to know their grandfather and understand their heritage. She added, “There are unconfirmed reports that she used to send him videos of the children before the rift with Harry became so deep.”

As for Charles, Bond suggested he would be “delighted” to see his grandchildren, having already missed out on a lot of time with them. In recent months, Harry and Meghan’s professional paths have separated, with Harry focusing on charitable work while Meghan has turned her attention to her commercial enterprises.
Bond doesn’t believe this should be an issue for a royal reunion. “As long as she doesn’t do anything that would cause embarrassment for the Royal Family, I don’t see any difficulties,” she said.
One person who was absent from the so-called peace talks last week was Prince William. A source claimed he remains “deeply wounded” by Harry and has no intention of reaching out to him, regardless of whether the Duke of Sussex ends his feud with other family members.
Bond suggested mending the bond between the brothers would prove far more challenging. She explained, “The brothers are still miles apart in every sense. I imagine the King would have warned William about the meeting. I hope so, anyway.
“I think William might find it in his heart to forgive Harry’s jibes about their sibling rivalry, his indiscretions about their disagreements and fights. But I don’t think he is in any way ready to forgive Harry for hurting Catherine and revealing a row about bridesmaids’ dresses and a disagreement about lip gloss.”
