Prince Harry

The alleged brawl isn’t the only explosive claim in Lownie’s book. It dives into Andrew’s tarnished past, particularly his ties to Jeffrey Epstein.

A bombshell book has set the royal family ablaze with claims that Prince Harry decked his uncle, Prince Andrew, hard enough to bloody his nose during a heated family spat. The allegations, laid out in Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York by respected historian Andrew Lownie, suggest the fight erupted after Andrew called Meghan Markle, Harry’s wife, an “opportunist” and mocked their marriage, saying it wouldn’t last a month, per The Daily Beast.

The story has stirred fresh drama, though Harry’s team quickly shot down the claims.“I can confirm Prince Harry and Prince Andrew never had a physical fight, nor did Andrew make those comments about the Duchess of Sussex to Harry,” a spokesperson for Harry told The Daily Beast. Lownie, however, doubled down, insisting his source—a close confidant of Andrew’s—is reliable and provided detailed accounts. He noted Harry’s denial mirrors the Sussexes’ past disputes, like the 2019 clash with Prince William described in Harry’s memoir Spare, but admitted he didn’t seek comment from Harry’s camp before publication, The Daily Beast report revealed. Andrew, who no longer has media representation, has not responded, though a former communications aide was contacted.

    A Royal Rift Rekindled

The alleged brawl isn’t the only explosive claim in Lownie’s book. It dives into Andrew’s tarnished past, particularly his ties to Jeffrey Epstein, the convicted sex offender. Lownie cites Epstein allegedly boasting to friends, “We are both serial sex addicts. He’s the only person I’ve met who is more obsessed with p—y than me.” Journalist Ian Halperin told Lownie that Andrew, during his time as a UK trade ambassador, slept with over 1,000 women, from models to bartenders, with one source claiming 40 women were brought to his Bangkok hotel room in 2006 for the King of Thailand’s jubilee, according to The Daily Beast. These lurid details have reignited focus on Andrew’s fall from grace.

Andrew’s troubles deepened after Virginia Giuffre accused him of sexually assaulting her at age 17, alleging Epstein trafficked her to him. A 2001 photo showing Andrew with his arm around Giuffre, with Epstein’s associate Ghislaine Maxwell in the background, became infamous, though Andrew claimed it might be doctored and denied meeting her, per The Guardian. The civil case was settled in 2022 for an undisclosed amount, reportedly $14 million, and Andrew was stripped of his royal patronages by Queen Elizabeth II that year. Furthermore, Giuffre’s death by suicide in 2025 after a car crash added a tragic note to the saga.

    Tensions and Denials

The Harry-Andrew story is complicated by Harry’s rocky history with the Daily Mail, which broke the story. Harry is part of a 2026 class-action lawsuit against the paper for alleged illegal information-gathering, alongside figures like Elton John. Lownie’s decision not to seek comment from Harry’s team before publishing has raised eyebrows, with the historian arguing his source’s credibility outweighs the Sussexes’ denial. The book also claims Andrew criticised Kate, Princess of Wales, and accused Harry of not vetting Meghan’s past, fueling long-standing tensions.

Andrew’s Epstein ties continue to haunt him, with Lownie’s book painting a grim picture of his exploits. A friend of Andrew’s told Lownie his global travels as a trade ambassador gave him access to “beautiful women,” which he fully embraced, per The Daily Beast. Despite settling with Giuffre and stepping back from public roles in 2020, Andrew has reportedly been quietly facilitating business deals in the Gulf, relieved that the FBI’s Epstein probe has closed.
