Explosive claims have been made in a new Royal Family bombshell book – as Prince Andrew and Prince Harry allegedly had an ‘altercation’ that resulted in Andrew having a bloody nosePrince Andrew was portrayed as 'problematic' in the new explosive bookPrince Andrew was portrayed as ‘problematic’ in the new explosive book

The Duke of Sussex Prince Harry has denied ever having a physical fight with Prince Andrew in comments in his latest book.

The alleged altercations with his controversial uncle were said to have happened at a family gathering in 2013 during a “heated argument” that escalated over “something Andrew said behind Harry’s back” and that Harry’s wife Meghan Markle was the subject of behind-the-scenes insults.

It reportedly got to the point where “punches were thrown” and Andrew had been left with a “bloody nose”.

However, a spokesperson for Prince Harry told PEOPLE: “I can confirm neither of those things are true. Prince Harry and Prince Andrew have never had a physical fight, nor did Prince Andrew ever make those comments about the Duchess of Sussex to Prince Harry.”

The denial comes in response to a new book, Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York, which detailed the fight that broke out and the book also claims Andrew privately questioned Harry’s relationship with Meghan, calling her an “opportunist” and suggesting the marriage wouldn’t last.

Author of the book Andrew Lownie describes Harry’s relationship with Andrew as “problematic” and also alleged that despite the incident taking place between Harry and Andrew more than a decade ago, the two royals’ relationship has not improved over the years.

Mr Lownie said that the Duke of York accused Harry of going “bonkers” after meeting the Duchess, allegedly warning him that his marriage would “not last more than a month”.

Lownie alleged that tensions between Prince Andrew, 65, and both of his nephews have simmered for years according to Daily Mail, and further claims that Prince William, 43, has worked behind the scenes to push Andrew out of Royal Lodge, the Windsor estate he continues to occupy, and has privately expressed disdain for Andrew and his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, 65.

The book is just one of many controversial publications form the Royal Family and their rifts – many which have accelerated since Harry and Meghan’s decision to step down from royal duties and live in California.

The book also portrays Andrew as a controversial figure and explores deeper into his ties with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Andrew has been largely stripped of official duties and stepped back from public life amid intense scrutiny and reputational damage.

Amid longstanding tensions within the family, Prince Harry has expressed a desire for reconciliation, while remaining wholly focused on protecting his wife and children. “I would love reconciliation with my family. There’s no point in continuing to fight anymore,” Prince Harry told the BBC in May.
