You guys, we have got to talk about the Kardashians. From Kim addressing something that has to do with North from a couple years ago to Khloe defending why she cares so much about Tristan’s brother despite the fact that people in the comments are like, “Girl, the way he treated you, you do not need to be this nice to his family. It’s a whole situation and we’re going to get into everything.” Khloe Kardashian has always received backlash over the years for being way too nice to Tristan after the way he’s treated her. And this week is not any different after she recently opened up about how involved she really is with his family. In a recent episode of her podcast, she admitted that she has taken on a deeply personal role as the primary caretaker for Tristan’s younger brother, Amari. Following the unexpected passing of their mother, Andrea, in January 2023, Kloe stepped in to help ensure Amari received the care and support he needed. Amomari has been seen on certain episodes of the reality show and they talked about how he suffers from a severe and rare form of epilepsy that causes him to experience multiple seizures a day. He is unable to walk or speak which makes his care particularly intensive. Tristan’s demanding NBA travel schedule also meant that he couldn’t provide full-time care, so Khloe has taken it into her hands to care for Amari fulltime. She says her decision was driven by her close relationship with Tristan’s mom, who she considered a friend. And since Andrea’s passing, Khloe said that she made it her priority to continue to care for Amari and that her involvement is out of compassion and love and not any sort of rekindled romantic relationship with Tristan. In January 2025, Tristan was granted legal guardianship over Amari, giving him authority over his medical decisions and a reported $103,000 in inheritance. But it’s Chloe who has continued to handle the day-to-day care. Tristan has a younger brother who is 18 years old and he is severely disabled. Amari has LGS, which is a form of epilepsy, and he is disabled. He can’t walk or talk. When Tristan’s mom passed away a few years ago, we took Amari back with us to the States. Tristan is in the NBA and he is in a different state literally every other day. And it’s just not conducive for Amari to be on that many planes. Amomari has a handful of seizures a day with the type of epilepsy that he has. So Amari stays in LA with me and I have chosen to take care of him and I just love having Amari be a part of my family. And since making this publicly known, the public has been calling Khloe an absolute angel for stepping up in such a massive way, especially considering her history with Tristan Thompson. But at the same time, there’s been a lot of side eye, too, with people pointing out that Khloe is doing way more for Tristan than she ever needed to. After everything she’s been through with him, multiple cheating scandals, public humiliation, and emotional roller coasters, many feel like she’s going above and beyond for someone who didn’t always show her the same level of respect or loyalty. Others say it’s hard not to wonder if she’s being taken advantage of again, even if unintentionally. Like yes, her actions are selfless and admirable, but they also serve as a reminder of how often she’s been the one to rise above and be the bigger person when it comes to her and Tristan. And people really just hope that he is not using her in any type of way. People commented under a clip of her podcast saying, “Girl, please let this family move along. I’m sure Tristan and family will provide top care for him. Why doesn’t his very rich brother care for him?” Would be my question. It seems Tristan is okay with allowing her to take care of his responsibilities, which is maybe why he never matures as a man. And yet, he disrespected her. How could he do that? Tristan doesn’t deserve her. So, that’s what’s going on with Chloe. As for Kim and what’s going on with her, well, it’s actually a couple of things. First is the situation that dates all the way back to October 2014 where a paparazzi video from Paris Fashion Week went viral, showing Kim Kardashian exiting a hotel alone, walking to her car, then going back inside only to reappear a few moments later holding her toddler North. When this clip went around, everyone thought, “Oh my gosh, she forgot North in the lobby of the hotel.” Because, you know, she’s walking out of the hotel. It looks like she’s about to get into the car and then she goes back into the hotel. At the time, she tweeted, “Do you guys really think a one-year-old would be inside the lobby by herself? Oh, wait. She was waiting to check out, lol.” And she also called out the rumor saying, “Heard on the radio today some story I forgot my daughter at our hotel as I’m leaving for the airport. Are you kidding me? Lol.” She also said, “I went to the car to make sure the car seat was in because the day before we had a car seat issue.” Now, fast forward to 2025. Kim has readressed the entire viral moment on Instagram and she made it clear that no, she did not forget North. She posted this video on her Instagram that said, “My favorite Kardashian moment is when Kim forgot North in a hotel room.” And she wrote, “I wanted to show the look off before holding her because her outfit didn’t match mine. I didn’t forget her.” So, she’s once again defending that she did not forget North in the hotel. Now, the other thing about Kim is she is currently under fire for a new Skiims product right now. And people feel like it’s always the Kardashians pushing these false beauty standards. And I think when it comes to this item, don’t sell some postsurgery garment to people for $50, acting like it’s going to give them miracle results like you or something like I think that’s the thing. You know, Kim is selling this gimmicky face strap situation. This is literally what people wear post op after having surgery. And I feel like she’s selling it to people being like, you know, if you wear this when you sleep every night. Not like she’s saying you’ll look just like me, but it definitely is telling people if you wear this you will be snatched when frankly like that is just not true. If this was actually something that worked, this would have been something that people were sleeping in long time ago. But to get more into it, Kim’s brand Ski has stirred major buzz with the launch of the new Seamless Sculpt Face Wrap, which dropped last week. The product is marketed as an overnight face shapewear designed to lift and sculpt the jawline using Skim’s signature compression material combined with what the brand calls collagen yarns. It immediately became a viral talking point, not just because of its promise to give users a more contoured face, but also because of how unusual and frankly intense the idea of face shapewear sounds. While the product quickly sold out, it has faced heavy criticism from both medical experts and the public. Is just this like amazing jaw support. You can see it just snatches your little chinny chin chin with the jaw and it’s super comfortable to wear at night or just around the house. Um, I really wanted to do these. Um, we’ve been working on it for a long time, so I’m really happy that you guys can see it. Cosmo interviewed a dermatologist who agreed that the claims behind the collagen infused fabric is misleading, noting that collagen molecules are too large to penetrate the skin just by contact. So, while the compression may help reduce puffiness temporarily, it won’t deliver the structural change the marketing implies. Some dermatologists compare the product to a push-up bra for your face, effective while worn, but with no lasting benefits. And a lot of people have been vocalizing their opinions on this whole thing. One social media user, Tova, shared their thoughts on the product, echoing a lot of other opinions online, writing, “Kim Kardashian didn’t invent toxic beauty standards, but she sure as hell profits from them. This is what it looks like when insecurity becomes a business model. Welcome to 2025, where beauty sleep means wearing shapewear on your skull. It’s a compression wrap for your face designed to sculpt your jawline while you sleep. Made from shapewear fabric, worn like a muzzle, sold as empowerment, marketed as self-love, but built on the belief that you’re not even allowed to relax without fixing something. The saddest part, it’s sold out. There are thousands of people who were ready to compress their faces overnight just to wake up feeling a little more acceptable. It’s a vicious cycle. They profit from making us insecure, then sell us the cure, and we buy it again and again until we decide to stop. And in the caption she posted, “So apparently sleeping isn’t allowed anymore unless you’re also sculpting your jawline while you do it. Introducing the Skiims Seamless Sculpt Face Wrap. Yes, really. A face shapewear product made by Kim Kardashian that you velcro around your head and chin while you sleep to keep your face snatched. It’s made of shapewear fabric infused with collagen yarns, comes in two neutral shades, and retails for around $48. And guess what? It’s sold out. We live in a world where rest has become just another place we’re expected to work on ourselves. Where your pillow time is no longer sacred. Where even while unconscious, you’re told to keep fixing, shrinking, lifting, improving. This isn’t self-care. This isn’t empowerment. This is just the same old sham sold back to us with better branding. And honestly, it looks eerily similar to the scolds bridal, a medieval torture device used to silence women, but now it’s beige in aesthetic and rebranded as wellness. Kim didn’t invent these standards. Sure, many men did it way before her. But she and her brand, like many other brands, are cashing in on them, feeding the insecurities they helped grow and now profiting while we suffocate ourselves in the name of beauty. Something to think about, even if we’re not allowed to speak or sleep. And a ton of people are speaking out on the product, but like I said, it did sell out. So, some people really were moved to purchase this.
