A former royal aide thinks Prince Harry needs to change his attitude.
Channel 5’s documentary Prince Harry: My Terrible Year aired on Saturday, August 9, and featured commentary from Ailsa Anderson, who worked “very closely” with the Duke of Sussex before he met his wife, Meghan Markle in 2016, according to the Daily Mail.
Per her LinkedIn, Anderson worked as the Communications and Press Secretary to Queen Elizabeth II from 2001 to 2013.
“Stop being the victim and start being the hero of the piece, start writing your own script,” Anderson urged the Spare author in the documentary, according to the Daily Mail.
“I think people are just getting a little bit tired of how Prince Harry thinks the world is against him and how awful his life is,” she remarked.

As for his personality, Anderson described him as a “very warm, engaging and kind person” but noted he is “too impulsive.”
Anderson said that Harry discussing his dad’s health and other personal situations publicly likely made King Charles, 76, and Prince William nervous that if they reconcile with him, “private information would then be leaked.”
“I think trust is paramount in every walk of life, if you can’t trust your family, who can you trust?” she added per the outlet.
Charles was diagnosed with cancer in February 2024, and in a May sit-down interview with the BBC, Harry confessed, “I don’t know how much longer my father has.”
However, as Star previously reported, a few of Harry and Charles’ senior aides met at a private member’s club in London in July, per photos obtained by the Daily Mail, sparking rumors of a possible reconciliation.
