Emma Heming shares update on Bruce Willis
to Bruce. I can’t even say it without getting emotional, but here I go. Bruce Willis’s wife, Emma Heming Willis, is sitting down with Diane Sawyer in an emotional new ABC special. The teaser clip that aired on Good Morning America shows Emma fighting back tears and opening up about hearing the Diehard actor’s dementia diagnosis for the first time. I was so panicked and I just remember hearing it and just not hearing anything else. It was like I was free falling. Back in December on their 17th anniversary, Emma shared a happier time with Bruce in Turks and Caos along with a heartfelt message about the challenges she faces as his now caretaker. 17 years of us anniversaries used to bring excitement. Now, if I’m honest, they stir up all the feelings, leaving a heaviness in my heart and a pit in my stomach. I give myself 30 minutes to sit in the why him, why us? to feel the anger and grief. Then I shake it off and return to what is. And what is is unconditional love. I feel blessed to know it. And it’s because of him. I do it all over again and again in a heartbeat. Tula Willis, the youngest of Bruce and Dei Moore’s kids, commented on her stepmom’s Instagram post with, “I love you so much, both of you.” Bruce and Dei Moore have three daughters, Rumor, Scout, and Tula. And with Emma, he has two little girls, Mabel, and Evelyn. In October of last year, Emma told Town and Country, “I’ve never tried to sugarcoat anything for them. They’ve grown up with Bruce declining over the years. I’m not trying to shield them from it. It’s been an emotional road for the whole family. In 2022, Bruce retired from acting after initially being diagnosed with aphasia, a disorder that affects the ability to speak and understand language. By February 2023, the family revealed his condition had worsened and that he had been diagnosed with fronttotemporal dementia or FTD. Emma and Bruce Willis.
