There’s no escaping the parallels between Crown Princess Rajwa of Jordan and the Princess of Wales. Both are Queens-in-waiting, having married their respective future monarchs. Both are credited with injecting a fresh, modern energy into their royal households. And both, most importantly, reign supreme in the style stakes.
Royal watchers have long noted that when it comes to wardrobe inspiration, these two have been known to ‘style swap.’ This week, it was Princess Rajwa’s turn to channel Catherine’s sartorial playbook. Jordan’s Princess looked effortlessly elegant in her all white ensemble as she met a group of students who recently passed their General Secondary Education Certificate Examination with flying colors, alongside her husband Crown Prince Hussein.
Her tonal look consisted of a jersey knit top and trouser set, a collaboration between CHATS by C.DAM and designer Rima Zahran. An additional panel of fabric gave the illusion the Middle-Eastern Princess was wearing a long skirt. She kept her dark hair loosely curled, make-up simple and accessorised with elevated-basic black accessories. Her shoes were a pair of Alexander McQueen mules with a fun ‘punk’ buckle, whilst her handbag was an Alaia number – all new items for the royal.
