The scripts were mostly written when I first was approached and reading them. It’s such a good story and there are significant changes from the book and the film. I felt a connection to Rudy in the sense that I think there’s a lot of talk about a legal drama and lawyers, but really he’s a kid. We do not surrender at this firm. You You look like you have an opinion. Don’t. I got fired. Why can’t you back away from a fight? You know, you just kind of throw it out there and try to tell the story in the in the best way you can. It really was something that you just had to take scene by scene and then you just come in every day and you try and let the relationships unfold and be as surprised by them as you can be. You lost your first job because you always come in hotter than blazes. Jeez, Mom, don’t hold back. You read something and you connect with it and hope that you can execute it as well as it’s written. He’s a son and a brother. He was complex in the sense that he was like very emotional and very um I think in lots of ways similar to me and in lots of ways different to me. And so I got in the ring for it. They knew about it. They covered it up. Oh, we’ve only just begun. My friend, this road ends at a loss for you. What we do here is a blood sport. You sure you’re ready for this? No. That’s the smartest thing you’ve said yet. [Music]
