EXCLUSIVE: Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are set to continue with content creation on Netflix after signing a new deal with the streaming giant, but one royal expert believes they could learn a lot from the other royals

Prince Harry and Megan Markle are set for a new wave of content on Netflix after mixed reactions to their original line-up on the streaming giant.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have had some success on the streaming platform with Bela Bajaria, Netflix’s chief content officer, calling the series Harry & Meghan “one of our most-watched documentary series.”

As viewers tuned in to the must-watch inside look at Harry and Meghan’s views on their royal exit and beyond, some of their other shows did not reach the same heights.

The lifestyle documentary With Love, Meghan, reportedly did not enter the streaming service’s top 300 most popular shows in the first half of 2025, according to the BBC.

However, Netflix has secured another deal with Meghan and Harry, which includes a second series of With Love, Meghan airing soon.

Royal expert Kinsey Schofield, host of Kinsey Schofield Unfiltered, feels that time is right for Harry and Meghan to look at the other members of the Royal Family when it comes to content.

Speaking exclusively to the Daily Star, she said: “I think Prince Harry and Meghan Markle could learn a lot from the Royal Family when it comes to content creation.

“The Royal Family produces some surprisingly raw and compelling content through documentaries and intimate media. Two that stand out are Her Majesty The Queen: Behind Closed Doors and Prince William: We Can End Homelessness. The institution has spent years mastering the balance of revealing just enough to connect with the public while still protecting their privacy and mystique.

“In doing so, they elevate meaningful causes. Their projects are rarely about themselves, which is why they tend to receive positive feedback. The focus is on raising awareness for something greater.

“We have also seen moments of deep personal vulnerability. Catherine, Princess of Wales, shared a video announcing her cancer diagnosis that moved audiences around the world. I sensed a deeper meaning in that video too… be kind. You never know what someone is suffering from behind closed doors.

Kinsey feels that the content produced by the royals, particularly the Prince and Princess of Wales, “pulls at our emotions”.

She continued: “I think people recognize the royals’ ultimate objective. They are asking us to pay attention to causes that are not glamorous and do not make us feel good. Their work challenges our thinking, pulls at our emotions, and inspires us to contribute or take action.

“Even I was so inspired by Prince William’s The Earthshot Report that I got involved in my local aquarium and became a certified Naturalist. Now I volunteer teaching children about the ocean’s health and whales.”
