Prince Harry has shared an alleged encounter between his now-wife, Meghan Markle, and brother and sister-in-law, the Prince and Princess of Wales, in the build up to his wedding.
The Prince detailed the row in his 2023 memoir, Spare, claiming tensions were high, ultimately leading to the Duchess of Sussex issuing a seven-word ‘command’ to Prince William.
Prince Harry claimed his wife had asked his brother to get his finger out of her face during an argument about a conversation between the Princess of Wales and Meghan.

He alleged the Princess had requested an apology from the Duchess after she reportedly hurt her feelings in the lead-up to the wedding.
Prince Harry said when his wife claimed she was unsure what the princess was referring to, she apparently referred to a phone conversation where Meghan made a comment about the Princess’ hormones.
Harry said Meghan replied: “That’s just how I talk with my girlfriends.”
William then allegedly pointed his finger at Meghan, claiming it was “not what’s done here in Britain,” to which Meghan apparently replied in a seven-word outburst: “Take your finger out of my face.”
In Spare, Harry addressed the reader with his thoughts. He wrote: “Was this really happening? Had it actually come to this? Shouting at each other about place cards and hormones?”
Elsewhere in the book, Prince Harry claimed an argument and alleged physical fight started between the brothers, when Prince William called Meghan “difficult,” “rude” and “abrasive”.
Harry then accused his brother of acting like an heir, after which insults were exchanged, whereas William reportedly claimed he was “just trying to help,” the Express reported.
Among the many bombshells, Prince Harry recalled that he and his brother were initially resistant to the idea of their father marrying Camilla Parker-Bowles, following their parents’ divorce and the death of their mother Princess Diana in 1997.
Charles and Camilla eventually tied the knot in 2005, with Camilla receiving the title Duchess of Cornwall after their wedding, prior to becoming Queen.
Speaking of his book release to People Magazine, Harry said: “I don’t want to tell anyone what to think of it and that includes my family.

“This book and its truths are in many ways a continuation of my own mental health journey. It’s a raw account of my life — the good, the bad and everything in between.”
Over a year later, in October 2024, Spare was also released in paperback, with Penguin Random House confirming the contents of the book remained “unchanged” in the new edition.
Harry and Meghan have detailed other memories as working royals in their self-titled documentary on Netflix ‘Harry & Meghan’.
The streaming giant said it debuted on Netflix in December 2022 with a total of 23.4M views, making it the most viewed documentary ever through its first four days, and reached the English language top ten TV list in 85 countries.
The show is Netflix’s fifth most popular documentary series of all time.
