Prince Harry is set to meet with King Charles but royal watchers are advised not to expect Prince William at the meeting.
Speaking exclusively to Mirror US, Emma Fabiani, who runs a Meghan Markle fanpage on Instagram, believes William’s absence means the meeting will be handled with care, at least, more so than if William were to be in the room.
Fabiani predicts a private moment between father and son, with no fanfare and no balcony moments.

Fabiani said: Nothing public or theatrical is expected, just a private moment between father and son. The fact that William is not involved makes the meeting even more delicate, but perhaps more genuine for that very reason.”
She explained: “There’s a lot of attention around this possible reconciliation. The comments I’ve seen range from hopeful to cautious.”

William is not expected to attend the meeting, which may be helpful for Harry and Charles to speak freely, at the least, comfortably, as the saying goes: “Two’s company, three’s a crowd.”
Over the summer, Harry’s reps met with Charles’s rep in London. Just yesterday, it was confirmed Harry would be meeting with Charles in September, while in the UK for the WellChild Awards.
‘No one is getting carried away’
Fabiani runs a Meghan Markle fanpage, which has over 750,000 followers, giving her insight into what Sussex fans are feeling.
She said: “Many people appreciate any small gesture of peace, but no one is getting carried away.”
She added: The overall tone is mature and respectful, with a genuine desire for things to improve but without unrealistic expectations.”
Meghan to stay in US
Meghan is not expected to travel to the UK with Harry, she will stay home with the children, but even so, she sill plays a big role in the meeting.
Fabiani explained: “Officially, she’s not involved, but it’s hard to imagine these decisions being made without some level of family discussion. Some commentators are calling it a deliberate communication strategy: a message of openness, without being too exposed. And it does seem to fit with the tone of their current public narrative.”
William’s absence will prove helpful for Harry and Charles to speak
This is the first time Harry will sit with his father in over a year. It’s not to say the royal reconciliation will happen right then and there, but it’s a step in the right direction.
According to Fabiani, it’s going to be a quiet moment, behind closed doors.
“A few small gestures, but honest ones. That’s the kind of reconciliation many of us are hoping for.”
