Prince Harry’s eating habits have been called out as part of Meghan Markle’s new Netflix show, which saw her discuss her husband’s dislike of one dish in particular.
The show, which aired the second series on Netflix at the end of last month, sees Meghan entertaining various guests across each episode including Chef José Andrés.
In one episode Meghan meets with the renowned chef as they cook lobster and trade cooking tips, where Meghan reveals her husband has a hatred of seafood which she puts down to his royal British upbringing.
“You know who doesn’t like lobster? My husband,” Meghan, 44, said.
“And you married him anyway?” Andrés joked in reply.
The Duchess of Sussex has remained silent regarding the backlash and has instead kept posting clips from her series across social media platforms.
Although Meghan has encountered substantial negative criticism regarding her Netflix series, she has simultaneously garnered considerable acclaim.
Town & Country magazine appeared to be a fan of the new series, with their review stating, “When Meghan is slightly out of her comfort zone, With Love, Meghan succeeds; the series is best when she is learning alongside the audience, and authentically reacting to new things.”
The BBC’s Sean Coughlan also expressed his admiration for the show, describing With Love, Meghan as a form of “escapism and aspiration.”
