The History of Sound stars Paul Mescal and Josh O’Connor reflect on the first time they met #shorts
Congrats on your new movie, The History of Sound. Uh, is is that where you guys first met on that film? No. No. We met on Zoom. Yeah. In, uh, during COVID, right? Oh, really? Yeah. I reached out to Paul’s agent, who’s my agent. Mhm. And I said, uh, I just seen Normal People. And I was like, there’s this amazing kid. You’ve got to see this actor. And he was like, I represent him. Um, and, uh, and then we chatted on Zoom. Then we’ve been friends ever since. And that is that what you remember? that well very clo I I watched Josh in uh God’s Own Country when I was in drama school and was like obsessed with him so that I was trying to play it all cool on the Zoom like thinking that this is how actors interact and Josh is kind of like a special unicorn and yeah he was one of the first people I met after normal people. There you go. Yeah.
It was over Zoom!
