Why Lady Gaga canceled Miami concert — leaving fans ‘stranded’

Gaga cancelled. We’re all here. Look how handsome. Look at my hot crew, by the way, to die for. But you know who’s We’re very upset. I actually am really upset. Gaga, no. Lady Gaga abruptly canceled last night’s mayhem show in Miami, Florida, just minutes before showtime. She blamed an extremely strained voice during rehearsal the previous day and again during pre-show warm-up. Understandably, her little monsters were crushed, including former co-host of The View and my personal pal, Michelle Collins. One ex user tweeted, “Never book a trip around a concert because what do you mean? I spent like $1,000 for this Lady Gaga concert and now I’m just stranded in Miami.” Another wrote, “Just experienced the third cancelled or partially canceled Lady Gaga concert in my life. I am never buying a ticket to see her in Miami again. This place is cursed.” The whole thing is giving Kelly Clarkson cancing the opening night of her Vegas residency back in July, just 90 minutes before curtain. At the time, she cited vocal issues. We later found out behind the scenes, Kelly was dealing with her ailing ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock’s final weeks. So, what exactly went down with Gaga? In a lengthy Instagram story, the 14time Grammy winner said both her doctor and vocal coach advised her not to take the stage on Wednesday, September 3rd. She wrote, “I want to be hardcore and just push through this for you, but I don’t want to risk long-term or permanent damage on my vocal cords. There is a significant risk based on our combined experience with a show like ours. And as you know, I sing live every day.” In other words, Gaga doesn’t lip-sync. It’s not the first tumble for the Mayhem tour, literally. Back in July in Vegas, Gaga suffered a nasty fall and so did her cameraman. [Music] She quickly recovered and hopefully her voice will be back in fighting shape when she returns to the Big Apple in 2 days. Her next stop is Madison Square Garden Saturday, September 6th. So, New York, get your paws up.

Lady Gaga pulled the plug on her Miami Mayhem Ball show just minutes before the show was set to begin.

“Hi everyone I am really so so sorry but I need to postpone tonight’s show in Miami,” she wrote via Instagram Stories Wednesday evening, explaining that during rehearsals, her voice was “extremely strained.”

“Both my doctor and vocal coach have advised me not to go on because of the risk it poses,” she continued.

While she wrote that she wanted to be “hardcore and just push through for you,” she didn’t want to “risk long term or permanent damage” to her vocal cords.
