Meghan Markle made us wait a day for an update on her 44th birthday celebrations, but share she did, posting on instagram that she’d enjoyed a special dinner to end a ‘beautiful 24 hours’ of celebrations.
While the closely cropped photo showed just Meghan’s shoulder, eager-eyed fans still managed to spot what she was wearing.
For her birthday dinner, Meghan threw it all the way back to 2021, bringing out an incredible white embellished Valentino mini dress. She first wore the dress at the 2021 Global Citizen Live festival in New York City, where she appeared with Harry to speak at the event.

And it seems the dress is a fan favourite. ‘I am obsessed with that dress!! It lives in my head rent free since the first time I saw her in it,’ said one follower. ‘I LOVE that dress, and she looked stunning in it when she wore it last!’ said another.
The dress is now unavailable to buy, though there is a very similar one still available.

In her caption to the picture, Meghan wrote: ‘Blowing out the candles on a beautiful 24 hours, and thanking my husband, friends and family for making it so special.
‘To those of you I don’t know, but who send love every day – thank you so much. Please know I feel it and appreciate it ❤️
‘And just to get a little foodie on you….this dinner last night at @funke_la with the culinary mastery of @evanfunke and his team is in the top five meals of my life. Extraordinary 🍝 Thank you for a standout dining experience.’
Tributes to Meghan had come in on her birthday, August 4, from a host of celebrity friends, and from her company, As Ever, which also celebrated by launching their much awaited rose wine.
In that post, the Duchess of Sussex wore another favourite dress, this time from Gabriela Hearst. While that colourway isn’t available, the dress is still available in another of other colours, and many are on sale.
