The good news? The second season of With Love, Meghan, which premiered Aug. 26, earned fewer bad reviews than season 1. The bad news? It also brought in fewer viewers. While season 1 of the Duchess of Sussex’s critically panned lifestyle and entertaining series landed on Netflix’s Top 10 shows list the week after its March premiere, with 2.6 million views, this time around, the series failed to crack the Top 10 in the United States, the United Kingdom and globally, the streamer confirmed Sept. 3.

According to Forbes, at least 500,000 fewer viewers tuned in for the second go-round, which featured celeb guests, including Chrissy Teigen and Queer Eye’s Tan France.

Publicly, at least, Meghan Markle — who on Sept. 1 shared photos on Instagram of kids Archie and Lili watching her work on set — attempted to make lemonade out of lemons. Hours after Netflix shared its viewership news, she declared in a blooper reel, “We’re not going for perfect, we’re going for real!”
