On Thursday, Trump will say farewell to Their Majesties, before travelling to Chequers to reunite with Prime Minister and Lady Starmer. The group will visit the Winston Churchill archives and host several meetings. Meanwhile, Melania Trump will join the Princess of Wales at Frogmore Gardens, where the pair will meet with Chief Scout, Dwayne Fields, and the members of the Scouts’ Squirrels programme to learn more about nature. Kate Middleton has served as Joint President of the Scout Association since 2020, and memorably spoke of her love for nature in a short video with Fields earlier this year. The First Lady will then return to Chequers to join President Trump, and the pair will depart the UK that evening.

Donald Trump, now in his second term as US president, is known to be a fan of the royal family. In February, a video confirmed his long-held admiration for the Windsors: on board his private jet, he could be seen flicking through photos of himself alongside Queen Elizabeth II (whom he described as ‘fantastic’) and King Charles (a ‘really good person’). He’s even gone as far as to claim the late monarch considered him her ‘favourite president’ – a view somewhat contested by Craig Brown’s biography, A Voyage Around the Queen, which suggests she actually found Trump ‘very rude’.
