Sofía Vergara Misses Emmys 2025 After Going to Emergency Room | E! News
Sophia Vagara’s Emmy night did not go as planned. The Modern Family alum shared that she had to miss the 77th annual Emmy Awards September 14th after taking a trip to the emergency room. Writing on an Instagram carousel September 14th featuring a picture of her red swollen eye, quote, “Didn’t make it to the Emmys, but made it to the ER. Sorry I had to cancel. Craziest eye allergy right before getting in the car.” Sophia also shares videos from inside the emergency room pretending to cry and another clip rinsing her eye in a faucet. And while she didn’t make it to the ceremony, Sophia, who underwent a second knee surgery in July, had plenty of star power in her comments, sending well wishes her way, including America’s Got Talent host Terry Cruz, who wrote, quote, “Oh no, get well soon.” and Diplo writing, “Oh no,” with several heart emojis. Sophia wasn’t nominated for any awards during the ceremony, but was announced as one of the evening’s many presenters, who included Angela Basset, Coleman Domingo, Sydney Sweeney, Kristen Bell, and more.
