‘The Pitt’ wins big at the Emmys, breaking Noah Wyle’s ‘ER’ losing streak
[Applause] And the Emmy goes to The Pit. It was a big night at the 2025 Emmys for the HBO Max hit series The Pit, which took the top prizes for best drama, lead actor, and supporting actress. It was a thrilling moment for Noah Wy who received his first ever win for outstanding lead actor in a drama series three decades after being nominated multiple times for ER. To anybody who’s going on Shift Tonight or coming off Shift Tonight, thank you for being in that job. This is for you. Katherine Lenasa won best supporting actress for the HBO Max medical drama and thanked her husband Melrose plays actor Grant Show. It was a pleasant surprise for many. Soap opera writer Sarah Bible wrote on X, “Oh, I didn’t know Kathern Lassa was married to Grant Show. That man is aging like the finest wine.” At the end of the night, the pit won outstanding drama series, beating out Apple TV’s Severance, which was the most nominated show at this year’s Emmys.
