Despite Prince Harry’s years of complaining about royal life, the Duke of Sussex was able to see King Charles III while in London for the WellChild Awards.
“Obviously, I can understand a father wanting to meet his son. Who wouldn’t?” royal editor Richard Eden told DailyMail. “The problem is, he is not just a father, he is our Head of State, and I think Harry and Meghan are bad news for the royal family.”

Richard Eden later implied that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle continue to utilize their proximity to the royal family to build careers in the U.S. “We have seen time and time again that they can’t be trusted, they exploit their royal connections and I don’t think it’s being paranoid to say that they want to be the alternative royal family,” Eden noted.
“They want to replace Prince William and Catherine as the principal royals and they undermine them,” the commentator speculated.

Prince William and Kate Middleton were focused on work while Harry was in town. “It’s been sort of a royal week of engagements,” Richard Eden noted.
“Harry always comes back to attend the WellChild awards, and this year he has combined it with various other engagements so it has appeared as a royal week,” he continued.

Even though King Charles III made time for Prince Harry, Richard Eden is concerned about the long-term effects of their gathering. “I just think it’s dangerous,” Eden said. “It really is not in the long-term interest of our monarchy.”
