Arnold Schwarzenegger shares his thoughts on Charlie Kirk
Governor Schwarzenegger, I wanted to begin on a very serious and somber note. Last week, uh, as everyone in this room knows, the country witnessed the most horrific murder of Charlie Kirk, uh, on a university campus in Utah. It was a highly disturbing event and, uh, I know that it’s shaken a lot of members of our community. And I wanted to ask you um what were your reactions to this event and how what can you do to what can you say to help our community process what this event means uh for something that we all care so much about which is uh even when we disagree with someone vehemently over politics, it should never ever descend into violence of any kind. Well, I was very very upset that someone’s life was taken because they have a different opinion. I mean, it’s just unbelievable. I mean, this was a great communicator, a great advocate for the right for Republican causes. And he had such a great way of communicating with the students that agreed or disagreed with him. And I just thought, it’s a human being. A human life is gone. and he was a great father, a great husband. And um I was thinking about his children. They will only be reading about him now instead of him reading to them bedtime stories. I mean, it’s just unbelievable of what is going on. So I was shocked when I saw this as we all were and I think that since then there’s there are endless amount of debates about how do we stop this but we have to acknowledge that the cause of all of this is the social media companies that are dividing us. the mainstream media companies that are dividing us, the political parties, the Democrats that they’re dividing us, the Republicans that are dividing us. So, we’re getting hit from so many different angles and we have to be very careful that we did don’t get any closer to that cliff. because when you fall down that cliff down there there is no democracy. So we have to be very very careful and I think it is very important that we turn this around and that we show people power because the people can turn this around. The people have the ultimate power. And so this is why I recommend very strongly that people always say, “Well, what can I do? I’m just an individual.” But each and every one of you in here can make a difference. You can show leadership. This is about leadership. This is a time to show leadership where USC students from the Democratic Club to the Republican club can get together. Imagine that you get together and you start having communications together and solving problems together. You will have the media turn out in no time and cover that story and you will be an example for the rest of the nation and for all universities. How you get together? How you not see the other side as the enemy or to fight fire with fire like they’re saying today or to declare war on each other as they’re saying today. You can show leadership and you can get together and be this example because remember the people power is the ultimate power. That’s what democracy is all about. This is what democracy is all about. If you analyze the word democrat I mean the Latin demo people power that’s what it is. people power, not politician power, it’s people power. So use that power and start getting together and show to the country and to the world that we can do it. Let’s just do it. Okay.

United States has become too political. Sorry about Charlie’s passing but we need to stop being so political and so passionate about other people’s beliefs and personal preferences and wanting to try to control others. People need to worry about their own lives and goals rather than what others do or say.
There is a spiritual battle that one day will be acknowledged by all, whether we like it or not. That is why Believers are in the world, but not of it.
@4:00 Sounds great but you're speaking at USC. They banned their valedictorian from speaking at commencement ceremonies in 2024. There's your democracy and leadership example.
CONAN THE BARBARIAN !TOLD AMERICA THAT ILL BE BACK!
Same guy that said ef your feedoms, take the shot
Yes! Social media and mainstream media are the culprits
Protecting America safe from the Axis of evil who is mastermind of Charlie Kirk's assassination.
Only Jesus Christ can unite mankind.
Arnold (Austrian ) unprincipled immoral man is despicable adulterous deceitful egotistical man ..is extemporaneously linguistically inarticulate………
Arnold is the strong leader that we are currently missing in our national. Instead we have a clown that divides us every chance he gets.
The truth is actually very simple.
Radicals on both sides are a minority. But they are also the loudest. The majority on each side is open for discussion and respects the other side. Most people can agree and disagree peacefully.
The problem is the radical minority on either end of the political spectrum. And the people on both sides that are easily manipulated by social media into believing that each side’s radicals represent everyone from said side. That is the true problem with everything.
No matter if it’s about people who believe in trans or not, meat eater or vegans, if it’s about immigration, religions, feminism or any other community and political group.
Most people on the right and the left can disagree while also peacefully having a talk and be friends with the other side.
It’s the radicals on both sides of the spectrum that are the issue. Followed by the people that blindly believe that the radicals represent everyone when it’s less than 10% of radicals left and right.
Once those people wake up and understand that the minority that escalates things does not represent public opinion the radicals will be ignored and we can simply live in peace
So true. Social media amplified divisions so much that Brexit happened because young voters were literally targeted by Facebook Ads that were tailored made for them (i.e spreading malicious blatant lies about the EU that was illegal but these ads vanished after the referendum…)
He didn't say anything either substantial or that deserves respect. TLDR: media from both sides are dividing us. No, Arnold, it's the left media who is dividing us. With great power comes great responsibility, and if you have that power and you don't fight the corrupted ones – you're with them. That man doesn't deserve any respect.
Very well said Governor. I was shocked how may people erupted with hatred on social media to blame the victim and his family? Charlie was always about continuing the conversation. Stopping dialogue is when violence happens.
When Arnold was Governour, California was great…
Yes we are divided, but why? Why is it ok for illegals to come into the country unchecked, unvetted and given phones, healthcare, jobs, education and more? Arnold himself said it right in another show, when he explained what it means to be an immigrant…
Come to your senses and get together and work for the same cause, to make this country great and wonderful again.
0:00 Holup, what did he call him??
Those who killed Charlie were mentally ill people who sold their souls to the devil, LGBTQ people, wokes, and cult members.
Well said sir!
I like that the interviewer allowed Arnold to speak without constantly interrupting like most do. Arnold is right. Media is a large part of the problem, but people need to be more responsible for what they post. It's ok to disagree with someone without becoming hateful and violent. People have lost the art of conversation and talking out problems.
Arnold is a Democrat in Republican clothing
I only see one party the left talking with dangerous words.
U can't ask the terminator, he main stream Hollywood y'all.
There is no more freedom of speech in America. Speech is not free it literally can cost your life.
That is so sad.
🚫Talking “ Political correctness “ won’t work. You have to talk the “ truth “ that violence come from democrats, not republicans. Democrats leaders won’t condemn, but encouraging “ violence “, how can be together ? Democrats always “ backstabbing “ “ betrayal “. This is not time to together, time to fight against evil because democrats are not willing to “ repent “. All evil acts must be punished, be sentenced and REPENT.
Jesus Saves. Call on his name Now!
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Arnie showing a bit of wisdom unlike so many of his Hollywood colleagues.
maga is a mental disorder
We will always love, honor, and remember what you taught us Charlie. May we all strive to be better people, and make this world a better place. You didn’t die in vain. We will carry your message from here. ❤ Rest in peace my brother in Christ. Praying for your beautiful family
"I was thinking about his children" well. did you thought about children of Gaza, children of Iraq, Syria, Yemen mr Arnold?! innocent question.
What a great interview/speech. As is too often the case, immigrants to this great nation have a better grasp and appreciation of the great experiment that America is than people actually born here. This man is/was so many things that he could never have been in any other country in the world. The sad exception is that he could never be President. Maybe that is a constitutional amendment that should be revisited. And if you don't know your constitution, please don't pop off with your BS.
What a very beautiful message
