Dylan Dreyer’s son Ollie doesn’t normally talk with a Southern twang — unless he’s asked to say a certain name.
Sheinelle Jones and Dylan shared an adorable video on their Instagram stories on Sept. 18 of Dylan’s 5-year-old son, Oliver, known affectionately as Ollie, trying to pronounce Sheinelle’s name.
Dylan can barely contain her laughter as she asks Ollie who she works with on TODAY.
“Al, Craig, Sheinelle,” he says, pronouncing her name “Sha-NAIL” as Dylan and Ollie both crack up.
That’s quite an accent for a boy growing up in the Northeast.
“The way he says my name gives me such joy!” Sheinelle wrote with crying-laughing and heart emoji and the hashtag #citykidwithacountrytwang.
It’s the latest sweet moment between Dylan and her boys, whether it’s marking the first day of school with cute photos, her son Rusty, 3, saying “bye-bye” to his tonsils, Ollie spitting out gum after trying it for the first time, or Calvin, 8, throwing out the first pitch at a Boston Red Sox game.

Ollie’s funny Southern twist on Sheinelle’s name comes as she wraps up her second week back on TODAY after enduring the loss of her husband, Uche Ojeh, to brain cancer in May.
Dylan and Sheinelle also had some fun together away from the show in support of the Bottoms Up Invitational golf tournament. The event benefits the Colorectal Cancer Alliance and honors Lawrence Meadows, the late brother of TODAY’s Craig Melvin, who died from colon cancer at 43 in 2020.
“It’s truly one of the events I look forward to every year!” Dylan wrote on Instagram on Sept. 15 alongside a photo with Sheinelle and others. “@craigmelvinnbc and @lindsaycz …what you do for @colorectalcanceralliance with the #BottomsUp Invitational is so powerful and important. Raising money, golf, friends, fun…we’re all here to support you!”
