Katie Holmes and Joshua Jackson get cozy during ‘Dawson’s Creek’ reunion
It’s been more than two decades since Dawson’s Creek first stole our hearts, but this week, Katie Holmes and Joshua Jackson reminded everyone that some chemistry just never fades. The former co-stars reunited at New York City’s Richard Rogers Theater for a special benefit event and the magic between Joey and Pacy was back in full force. After a live readrough of the very first episode of the series, Holmes and Jackson walked hand in hand onto the stage to join their fellow castmates. Fans captured the sweet moment when Katie leaned her head on Joshua’s shoulder and he gently rested his head on hers. At one point, Holmes even reached out for a playful high five after Jackson took his bow and the crowd went wild. The evening wasn’t just about nostalgia. Proceeds from the event went to Fancer and to support James Vanderbeek’s treatment for colarctal cancer. The actor who played Dawson Liry was unfortunately unable to attend, calling himself gutted to miss the big night. This reunion comes on the heels of another project bringing Holmes and Jackson back together. Earlier this year, the two filmed Happy Hours, a new film trilogy in New York City, with Katie not only starring, but also writing and directing. Of course, fans will remember that the pair briefly dated in real life back in 1998 at the height of the Dawson’s Creek craze. Since then, their paths have gone in very different directions. Holmes with her high-profile marriage to Tom Cruz and later relationships. Jackson with his marriage to Jodie Turner Smith, with whom he shares a daughter. But through it all, the two have remained close friends. And if this reunion proved anything, it’s that Joey and Pacy will always have a special place, not just in TV history, but in each other’s lives. For longtime fans, it was a reminder that some love stories, on and offcreen, never truly end.

The former co-stars cozied up to each other after performing a read-through of the six-season series’ first episode at New York City’s Richard Rodgers Theatre.
Holmes and Jackson, who respectively played Joey Potter and Pacey Witter, held hands as they joined their fellow cast members on stage to close out the event.
