Meghan Markle may keep some parts of her life private; however, she was willing to give the public a look at her stunning backyard on Wednesday, September 24.

Posing for a photo with her dogs, black lab Pula and beagle Mia, per People, the image was taken for Meghan’s As ever brand, which is where it popped up on Instagram. In the shot, we get a glimpse at the royal’s envious yard. As the Duchess of Sussex stands on a stone patio with her pets, she can be seen looking out at her gorgeous green lawn and the surrounding property which is lined with large trees. The two tallest are palm trees that have a special meaning to the family.

Meghan & Harry’s Palm Trees Represent the Royal Couple

“One of the first things my husband saw when we walked around the house was those two palm trees,” she said during an interview with The Cut in August 2022. “See how they’re connected at the bottom? He goes, ‘My love, it’s us.’”

“And now every day when Archie goes by us, he says, ‘Hi, Momma. Hi, Papa,’” Meghan said.

In fact, it turns out that the royal couple had only seen what was outside of the house when they decided it had to be their home. After seeing the exterior, she recalls telling the real estate agent, “We have to get this house.”

Meghan also revealed, “We did everything we could to get this house.” That includes paying $14.65 million. For that price, the family can now enjoy “nine bedrooms, 16 bathrooms, a pool, a tennis court, a tea house, a rose garden, olive trees, a two-bed guesthouse and a children’s cottage,” per Page Six.

However, those aren’t the only reasons it was worth the money. As Meghan explained to The Cut, “Because you walk in and go …” She took a deep breath before adding, “Joy. And exhale. And calm. It’s healing. You feel free.”

Meghan Reveals Why She Doesn’t Film Her Show in Her Home

Meghan Markle’s Netflix show, “With Love, Meghan,” may have a homey vibe, however, it’s not actually filmed in her Montecito residence. Instead, she films in a spot that’s closeby but still provides the family the pricacy they crave.

“I wanted to protect that safe haven,” Meghan told People in March. “We’re a close-knit family, and I love those moments — putting Lili down for a nap, having lunch together, having sacred time together at the end of the day.”

She added, “Our kitchen is where Mama just cooks for the family, and with a crew of 80-plus people, that’s a lot of people to have in your house!”
