King Charles spent three days entertaining Donald Trump during the recent state visit and the singing and dancing isn’t over with talk of the British monarch traveling to the U.S. next year.

Trump has expressed interest in hosting Charles and Camilla for a state visit, in which Pauline Maclaran addressed, saying Charles may like some time to relax, but even so, the King will accept the invitation as it’s part of his role as a constitutional monarch.

Maclaran, co-author of Royal Fever and professor at Royal Holloway, said: ”I think he will certainly accept if he is well enough.”

She explained: “If the government wish to use the King in this diplomatic role, he would not want to refuse I think.”

“The royals are keen to prove their worth to the public and their role in charming Trump on his recent state visit has been widely praised.”

The state visit to the U.K. comes with pomp and pageantry, but at the same time, it is a business trip, it’s not all about flattery.

Charles’ visit to the U.S. will not be as “colorful,” says Maclaran, but royal watcher can expect “glamorous outfits as well as other opportunities for visual feasts.”
